Location: Austin, TX 78703

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Pay: $30.13/hr

Duration: 3-months with the potential to be extended

Must be able to pass a background check

We're seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst Contractor based in Austin, TX to support a fast-paced team with high visibility and multiple stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative environments, is highly organized, and communicates clearly across channels. You'll work extensively in Excel to analyze and reconcile large datasets, resolve support tickets, and provide regular updates to cross-functional partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, transform, and reconcile large datasets-including building and maintaining pivot tables and performing quality checks across multiple sources.
  • Validate data accuracy between systems; identify discrepancies and drive resolution.
  • Triage and review/resolve support tickets within defined SLAs.
  • Compile reports and summaries for stakeholders and leadership with clear, actionable findings.
  • Manage tasks and deliverables against specific due dates, escalating risks proactively.
  • Communicate progress and blockers via email, Slack, and team meetings; provide regular status updates.
  • Collaborate with various working groups and adapt quickly to changing priorities and workflows.
  • Maintain clear documentation and take thorough notes to ensure continuity across workstreams.

Required Qualifications

  • Excel proficiency: Advanced use of pivot tables, filtering, lookups (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), data cleansing, and basic formulas for analytics.
  • Attention to detail with a track record of high-quality, accurate work across multiple datasets.
  • Organization and deadline management skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to tailor messaging by audience.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with multiple teams and stakeholders.
